Part 2, PhET
The University of Colorado at Boulder has a great website with hundreds of interactive simulations. We are going to use one on the Photoelectric Effect.
Go to **http://phet.colorado.edu/**and click on PhET Simulations à Play With Sims à Quantum Phenomena à Photoelectric Effect à
  • It should open a page that looks like the picture to the right.
  • Take some time and familiarize yourself with the excellent simulation. You can change the photosensitive metal observed, the light intensity (brightness), voltage added, and the very important EM wavelength.
  • Click on the boxes to show the graphs of I v V, I v A, and E v A
  • Use the simulation to answer the following questions #1-9. Be sure to provide qualitative and/or quantitative evidence from the simulation to support your answers. Show work when you do calculations. Organize your information in data table(s) when appropriate.

The "Show your Work" in all caps was supposed to clue you in... You must show work for all calculations, as always: equations used, numbers plugged in, etc.
